Hi, thanks for your review! All modern Shopify themes use templates - it allows you to have unique layouts for different pages across your theme. We have documentation here (https://bit.ly/3SDO8SM) that goes over how to create and apply templates; if you need additional help, reach out to our support team anytime (https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA).

You get what you pay for. I have issues using the template pages for more that one page. If you use the 'Default' page for home, that template can't be used again for any other page. I have created 'new template' based on the page and it still gets over ridden by whichever page has occupied it first, but hey, it's free.
